The Scoot & Fold Eco Mobility Scooter was created as a low-cost entry-level model that was based on the original Scoot & Fold Standard. It uses conventional SLA batteries in place of Li-ion batteries and has the same well developed lightweight alloy chassis. For more over 25 years, SLA batteries—which are heavier but less costly—have been the industry standard for mobility scooters.
Like the more advanced variants, the Scoot & Fold Eco may be flown on an airplane since SLA batteries comply with IATA. Additionally, SLA batteries have a lower lifespan but a greater range per charge while being heavier.
